This bar avoids overloading the trapezius muscles and relieves the pressure that a traditional Olympic bar sometimes puts on the neck area by shifting the centre of gravity of the load on the bar. It will help keep your back straight and in the right position when performing squats to minimise the risk of back injury. Your neck and shoulders are also protected by the cushions built into the bar.
